The 1986 AFC Championship game saw the Denver Broncos arrive in the windswept, hostile confines of Cleveland Municipal Stadium. No one knew at the time, but the Broncos would become Cleveland's arch-nemesis of the Kosar era. As it had been the previous week, the showdown proved again to be it was an overtime heart-stopper. But this time, it was John Elway and the Broncos who came away the victors. Pinned in on their own two yard line with 5:11 left to play and the wind in his face, Elway led his now infamous (or, for the Broncos fans, 'legendary') 98-yard drive, which is now known by NFL historians as simply "The Drive"). With 37 seconds on the clock, Elway's 5-yard touchdown pass to Mark Jackson tied the game at 20 apiece. The 79,973 Browns fans in attendance were silenced when Rich Karlis' field goal attempt just made it inside the right-side upright to win the game for Denver early into overtime.

For the 2009 season, I see the Browns winning 12 games with 4 loses and winning the AFC North Division, the AFC Championship Game and winning Super Bowl XLIV against the Atlanta Falcons of the NFC.

the browns will be alot better this year but winning the division will be hard. The AFC North Divion winner will be tough between the Ravens, steeelers and maybe the browns.

As a cleveland browns fan it is nice to finally get to look forward to a year where the browns are at least in mention of playoffs at the start of the season....but will they live up to the hype

Yes, they will live up to the hype. With the Steelers weakening (O-line), a weak bengals and a rebuilding ravens team in their division, which they could win. Also, their division has 4 of the hardest schedules. They would have to play survival to win that division, which I think they could do. I'm a raider fan and I think the browns should get at least a wild card spot this year. They were cheated by the titans (in my opinion) last year. Don't worry if they lose to the cowboys this sunday, it's only the beginning of the season =)
